In an endevour to reach and serve children of our sister churches in Seattle, the Emerald City Pathfinder club has transitioned to the Seattle Regional Pathfinders.  This allows for developing friendships across churches in the region and broaden our base.

Emerald City Pathfinders  has been an active club since 1995. The purpose of Pathfindering is for boys and girls aged 10 – 15 years to participate in an organization that builds team work, does outreach activities, builds friendships, goes on outings, learns about the world through hands on activities, and learns about God through the Bible.
Over the past 15 years the club has been involved in many activities. Yearly the club goes to the Washington Conference fall camporee and spring fair. The club has gone to the North Pacific Union Conference camporees that have taken them to Astoria Oregon, Port Angeles Washington, and Montana. The club has also gone to the International camporee in Oshkosh Wisconsin, which happens every five years. The first time the club drove across country visiting many of the American sites like Mount Rushmore, Badlands, and Yellowstone National Park. The next time the club experiences seeing the country on the train. What an experience to participate in activities with over 30,000 other young people from around the world.
Over the years the club has gone camping, visiting state parks and other places. Other activities the club has done: beach combing, biking, roller skating, ice skating, hiking, and bowling. Outreach activities have been feeding the homeless, collecting canned goods to give to food banks, distributing food at a food bank, visitation of homebound individuals, sending cards to the sick. The club has raised funds for the club through bake sales and car washes, and doing yard work.
Pathfinders have worked on honors about animals, insects, wood, plants, cooking, baking, knitting, handicrafts, candles, decoupage, drilling, marching, knots and others.
Through the years some of the pathfinders that have grown up in the club have returned to be helpers. This has always been a blessing to the club. The club has been successful because the church has supported the club. There have been individuals in the church that have shared their time and money to make sure that every child that wanted to go on an outing could go. We always and continually need people to do the same. We are thankful for God’s blessings.
